History:
Eilonwy grew up with her mother and father, King and Queen of Prydain. She wasn't partiuclarly close to either of them, and arguments could often be heard echoing through the cold castle hallways, because she had no desire to lead the country. Eilonwy didn't want to be a Queen one day. She wanted to travel and see the sights. To be different, and yet like everyone else at the same time. And she would not give up on those ideas.
Even from such a young age, she was headstrong and willful.
But she got on well enough with her parents, that Eilonwy gave in to their 'suggestions' of staying at her aunt's to learn the ways of being a true lady. Her aunt was a noble woman, who lived quite far away from Eilonwys home region. She was kind, and elderly, but still quite strict. She knew her lessons, and was eager to teach Eilonwy not just what it meant to be a lady - but to educate her as well.
That was what Eilonwy liked, and she learned everything thrown her way fairly quickly, with childish eagerness.
Whilst staying at her aunts castle, she wandered off into the surrounding woods - something she did a lot. She likes the quietness of woods.
There she was kidnapped by guards of the Horned King who wanted use her bauble (a mystical ball of light energy that follows her around) to find the Black Cauldron.
On discovering that the bauble held no such power, she was imprisoned. But in another show of strong will, she neither despaired or gave in. She searched and hunted and found a way into the sub-cellar, a passage underneath the castle. Following it, she was led to the Pig Boy, Taran.
At first they didn't get on well, even when they had to escape the castle together. After they escape, they go on a hunt (with Fflewddur) to find Taran's pg, Hen Wen. This journey takes them to the land of the Fair Folk, the fairies - whom Eilonwy found delightful.
After that, they traversed the Marshe of Morva to find the three witches. Ugly, as most witches are, they were also unfair and unkind. They liked to bargain. After making an unfair trade - the magic sword for the cauldron - the tried to keep the cauldron safe but were they didn't succeed.
Once again Eilonwy and Taran were captured, and the Black Cauldron started up. Hordes of the undead, hundreds of skeletons began to rise under the Horned Kings power. But Gurgi, poor Gurgi gave his life and stopped it.
The trio (Taran, Eilonwy and Fflewddur then trade the witches, the Cauldron for Gurgi.
The group reunited they set off together to travel around. It was at this point, that Eilonwy wandered off, by accident this time. Soon she grew lost, and tired.
Falling asleep, she dreamed of the others. But when awakened she was...
Elsewhere. Different. And completely and utterly lost.
