The woods look nice and pleasant from the outside, and if you take the nature trail through them they remain pleasant.
But if you wander away from the trail - by choice or accident - the woods suddenly seem a lot more sinister.
There are rumours of secret burrows and caves in the woods.

The Park

The park is well-loved by the occupants of Shadow. Visitors from all over come to visit it, due to it's wonderful nature trail through the park and it's woods.
There is a large pond, where sometimes the swans gift visitors with their presence.
